That was just a facetious statement to some extent.
The "hyphal rope" is the white area at the lower right that looks like a "rope" at the edge of a raised area. It is probably a trick of light and shade but its smoothness in outlining what must be an irregular area as compared with the similar white area to its left suggested that it might be a bit more than a trick of light and shade to me.
The important areas to me are the numerous sphere like features at the surface.
Re "people read this stuff" I have come to the conclusion that perhaps only 10 to 15 people read anything that I write here and those people usually comment if there is anything I write that they don't understand.
