You are obviously not an American so you do not know the American Way. Start with reading American civil war books and the abolishment of slave labor, at that point in its history North America changed almost overnight and grew as a completely independent NATION of STATES.
In other words, you can do as you wish, just stay between the law of the land and common sense and the laws of a good life will apply to make you prosper.

The American Way is the achievements of independent 'owners' of land and businesses that created industry which provided jobs for all, right across the Nation.
Its not only a belief but a state of mind with action. This state of mind created the American legal system, the Senate and all its government social interventions from the counties direction through wealth of the nation by hard working individuals.

The American Way has to be mentally understood to be appreciated. Its Freedom for ALL.

There are 2 means to accumulate wealth. One is through monetary means and the other is to just be living in America and accept its WAY of life. That alone is freedom and wealth. Most people get the two mixed up.

Most NEW Americans, the ones that bring their countries' baggage along with them and set up shop somewhere, do not know any American way of life nor HOW it began for them to 'Come to America'. The varied immigrate striations of late have infiltrated and diversified and perhaps confused the American Way setting new tests for its general populace and the government. New immigrants are having a major effect on great America.
