Winds becoming variable on sol 110 with increase in low level moisture. Without much data to work with will go into storm watch mode.

Hort should be an increase in cloud activity.

Wind gust direction sol 110.

This is max wind and direction around sol 98

Phoenix sol 110 18:26-18:36 animation:

This is at the very limits of my ability to process the JPGs. I think I see cloud movement -- but I wouldn't bet a lot on their reality.

Hope NASA does their take on this sequence.

Hort, you see the high then cirro-stratus type clouds of ice or dust. Thanks,

Fred

And here is the sol 110 color movie of cloud movment.

I sure wish NASA would release one of their color versions of cloud movement so I could see it I'm in the ballpark. They can call it totally false enhanced color - I don't care - I just want to see what the "big boys" can do.

Great image Hort. Looks like increase in low level moisture. As far as the, “Big boys," they are probably looking at your OM images.

Moisture has indeed returned to the lander site. The next 24 hrs will let us know the southern movement of storm track. Thanks Hort. Looks like wallpaper potential.

It's fascinating to see the effects of wind and see clouds as it would been on the Earth.
It's on Mars, an other world. Thanks guys for sharing this.

These have more of a cumulus shape rather than cirrus high altitude ice clouds as seen before with the rovers, this is going to quite interesting to track as the winter draws in, any bets on a white Christmas?

Looking at the sol 112 data winds seem to has gone back a sol 110 direction by 15:00 LMT then calm by 18:00 LMT. Low level moisture is still present though not as much. Cumuloform clouds seem to have risen from 1000 ft on sol 111 to 1500 ft sol 112. Without live satellite data would speculate a weak frontal passage.

Christmas on Mars will occur just past the Autumnal Equinox on Mars. Occasional light snow showers, especially at night.

Sol 113 shows low level moisture is drying out but mid-level moisture is in the increase. Winds light and variable. A rare glimpse of sun beams as clouds gather around the sun.

First snow of the season. Hort has captured a nocturnal snow event. Water snow was seen in the trench and was blown about by AM diurnal wind. This was produced by early morning thermal gradient.

Good times for the weather types.

Darwin, do you have to work hard at being an idiot or does it all come naturally to you?

This is exactly why I stopped posting here. I gave up after the recent obnoxious and pathetic attacks on Doug and UMSF but came back, briefly, because on another thread dana very courteously asked my permission to use some of my images after seeing them on my gallery, permission which I was happy to give. But after that remark Fred, well, to hell with you. There are some good people here, and some great discussions, but it's spoiled because of things like this. You're a disgrace, and I'm done with this place.
