With a pressure of 978 mb, the blogosphere is ripe with inquiries as to why Hannah isn't being classified as a hurricane at landfall.

It sort of reminds me of how last year's eighth, Humberto, which had a lowest minimum pressure of 985 mb immediately prior to landfall, has yet to be "officially" classified as the costliest strike on the U.S. mainland, even though it clearly was. It's the only recent year that they've left the issue up to historians to speculate about.

Cuba is a metaphor in the physical sense, not the political or spiritual. Cuba is not the focus of my arguments here, at ALL. I have no love of socialism or it's philosophy. However, with the recent seizure of the mortgage industry by the Feds, it makes me wonder who the socialists really are.

What do you suppose was underlying trigger for the recent crises in the mortgage industry? What really bust that bubble? What broke all the trend lines? [Was it Cuba?]

Well, being as you brought it up may as well post a discussion here on the impending disaster.

Hurricanes are like people in the sense that they are different. This storm is big with high winds out 150 miles from the center. As the storm moves west north west it will continues to pile up water in the North East Quad.

Latest Satellite data shows intensifying system. Even cloud guys do not like this type of storm. A lot of spirits will leave this world. 7 am CDT central pressure 956 MB.
