all this mars alian talk. I don't even believe we ever landed on moon, but seriously, if alians ever existed, why the hell we never captured even one good quality picture.....they are all little dots, that could be anything..........

Er, uh... I am believing the shooting star or satellite theory over the swamp gas, but would it not be hard to get a photo of this if it were a shooting star?

All I have to say is that people who don't believe that we landed on the moon are the same idiots who think that the holocaust was a hoax! I mean, come on!!! How could we get good rock samples from the moon without landing on it? If you can convince me that we can get thousands of moon rocks without actually landing on the moon, then I might change my mind! I believe NASA on this one even though I don't always agree, but I do think it could be Martians.(There's no proof that we are the only beings of our intelligence out in the infinite universe!! So there!) Very Happy

Anybody here who have personally seen a UFO?

I have, 12 years ago. It was 1 am. The object was triangular in shape, with 3 red lights at each tip which switched on and off one at a time. The color was black. It just floated there for hours without moving. After 2 hours I went to sleep. When I checked the spot again at 8 am it was gone. I believe it was an alien spaceship. The 3 red lights couldn't have been stars. Stars do not blink slowly, on and off, one after the other. It definitely wasn't an aircraft either. Aircrafts do not hang there in the sky, motionless.

I'm curious about your sighting. If I ask you a few questions, can you enlighten me?

You say it was black, was the Moon out that night for you to determine the blackness of it?

Did it have reflectivity from any nearby lighting system? street lights, cars, parking lots, shopping mall, building lights, stadium, park etc...

How did you spot it in the night sky, something made you turn your head to look up and determine the shape? sound, flashing light, object movement through trees???etc..

Did you happen to photograph the object? I know that its night time, but things can still be photographed. I would have.

For us to determine the size of the object place your hand at arms length and open your thumb and forefinger and give a size dimension of say, 1" at arms length or 6" at arms length, can you remember its rough size?

Did it have a thickness to it...again dimension at arms length.

Where was it located in the sky...0+deg
for horizon, 45 deg or right overhead?

and were there any other witnesess besides yourself?

and 1 last q>>
would you have known if the object was upside-down or not, parallel to the ground, or tilted in one direction for those 2 hours of observation you made?

thank you.

Hi dx,

It was a clear night. No clouds with only a few stars. The moon wasn't out that night.

The ufo was slightly more black than the sky.

It didn't have any reflectivity to it. It didn't even reflect the 3 red, alternately, slowly blinking lights at the tips of the triangle. It's like a black hole, only it was triangular.

I was watching the night sky and happened to spot the object. It kinda stood out from the other stars as there were only a few stars out that night.

Unfortunately, I didn't own a camera during that time.

At arms length I would estimate it to be around 1".

I couldn't see any thickness to it as it was almost parallel to the ground at around 10 deg. I believe what I saw was the underside of the ufo.

Yes, there was another witness besides me, a friend of mine. I immediately called him when I saw the object.

Hope I was able to answer all your questions.

Regards,
Army

Thanks for the return, I would say that you are a lucky man, to spot something like that in the night sky. I have never seen anything like what you described here. It must have been quite an experience for you.

1" at arms length and at 10 degrees above the horizon...now I know how I can spot something like this Black Flying Triangle.

To consider a size for the black object, I note that a large jet taking off from an airport could fit easily into that 1" which I estimate to be about a mile to 1 1/2 miles away...of course I was not there for your siting.

Would you say that 1 to 2 miles could be considered as a rough estimate for the distance?

I trust you have googled the 'Black Flying Triangle' and read the various documents about them. Very curious stuff indeed.

thanks again

Hi again dx,

Yes, I agree. It's not everyday that someone gets to see a UFO. It was a wonderful experience, especially for a UFO buff like me.

About the position, I'd like to clarify that it was 10 deg from overhead, not horizon. Since it was overhead and motionless, I'm positive it wasn't an aircraft.

As for the distance, it looks quite high. About as high as an 80-storey building.

You're right. Recently, there were several black triangle sightings. During the time of the sighting, I've never heard of triangular UFOs. I used to think all UFOs were saucer-shaped. So you can imagine my surprise when I found out others have also sighted black triangles!

I would like to try a calculation as to the size of the craft at arms length from your observation.

To begin, you mentioned an 80 storey building as the height of the object from the ground.

At 10 feet floor to floor (I work in Architecture and have designed many tall structures)that's 800 feet. With a 20 foot lobby and 20 feet for the penthouse that's approximately 840 feet. But for easier calculation lets round it off at 850 feet.

In trig. we have 2 lines 850 feet(running from the ground up) and a 1" or 1/12 of a foot at the other end(arms length). This represents a very narrow and skinny isosceles triange.

1/12x850 feet would make it 71 feet across...say 70 feet wide or so or 7 storeys if laid on the buildings' face. That's a good size house with an area of 4600 sq. ft. + or -.

The thickness would be, in my estimation, at least 10 to 15 feet. And of course a red light at each of the 3 points...which I also should have asked you if the object was an isosceles or an equal lateral triangle shape.

Please check my math to confirm. this was fun...try it.

thanks

Hi dx,

Wow, you're an architect! It's one of the hardest courses available right? You must be a genius or something.

Based on your calculations the triangle must be pretty big. It seems to be equilateral although I can't be absolutely sure.

Thank you Army for the compliment. If you can draw and think in 3D, you too can make it as a designer in Architecture. Its a big field to encounter. Keep your chin up.

However, it seems apparent these flying objects have been in my little corner of the earth, but I have never been fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time to see it. You have be a lucky man.

If I do spot it in the sky you will see my pic of it.
