I saw a UFO from Mars!

...and I took a photo of it. Take a look at the photo below. The streak is a UFO: an Unidentified Flying Object. I haven't been able to identify it (sorry, that wasn't in the manual) and NASA hasn't either. They think that it could be the Viking 1 spacecraft in orbit around Mars, but they are not sure. But who knows?

ah, cleverly distracting us from the line near the center of the image eh!? certainly that's the one that is the Martian Commuter Shuttle!

It's probably just swamp gas.

Does anyone (hud?) know which raw images the "UFO" picture was in? Or -- for that matter -- the one with just the Earth's, single, bright central exposure trail alone, also in the press images; Or the Earth as a "bright dot" just at twilight?

When I compare the raw Orion

with the press-release Orion

the press release shows many more stars. I don't think I can even tell which of the raw images might relate to the Earth or the mystery-object images.

I think those extra 4 bits of data per pixel ( and uncompressed data ) that NASA has to play with are nicely demonstrated in these two images.

We all have one eye tied behind our backs in our analysis.

why would nasa assume it (the streak) is some kind spacecraft or something? why wouldn't it just be a "shooting star" - some kind of asteroid fragment, etc. burning up in Mars atmosphere. or is Mar's atmosphere so thin that that kind of thing wouldn't happen?

Maybe from the speed of the thing. (If you know the shutterspeed you know how fast it's travelling across the sky from the length of the streak).

Why arent we concerned about the same looking line in the center of the photo?

thats the same line top right, just enlarged... You can notice by the color change in the frame.

Its so obvious, why is everybody making such a big effort trying to deny the most logical explanation? its a spacecraft from another civilization.

If it was a meteor (shooting star) then it would have had a dispersing tail. Instead, both edges of the object are solid and round. Just like many tmes reported cigar-shaped UFO has.

honestly! this has to be the worst photo of what ever it is???? ive ever seen!! right along with most of all the other pictures of mars,life on mars,writings on rocks,mars pyramids,u.f.os,its all crap that can leave any thing open to a over active imagination looking to the skies for anwers because life here in this reality is beyond comprehension. all our questions will be answed but not probably before its to late!!

It can be everything, even a non-complete/corrupted photo from mars.
Before saying ufo or other civilization, more clue are needed.
