Looks like what you might expect a segmented worm fossil to look like, in the lower right.

There are so many suggestive shapes in the two years of photos that I could never be certian of any particular item I see these days. I've been offline for a few weeks again, and I'll check the focus on this image for a closer view. If you are referring to the darker grainy horizontal shape at about 1 1/2" in from each side and bottom, I can agree. It follows the orientation of the main mass of the layers. and does seem to be periodic in pattern.
Will there ever be a series of repeated items which are unquestionably fossils? That seems to be the expectation for a confirmation of formerly 'living' items.
Much of what I have suspected is mineral crystals and 3D patterns of mineral types which are not much preserved on Earth.
Have there been any other similar dark grainy shapes, or is this the first you have seen? Perhaps I am looking at the wrong item in the image?

As I've been not looking at the recent releases, I backtracked to sol 924, especially 1M210210982EFF7582P2957M2M1.JPG , which shows similar sections at the center of the image and on the right side about one third down from the top. The entire image however shows sub-millimeter striations which are predominately oriented. The actual content is probably a by-product of the striations.
Tubular structures are present in many photos over the two year process. Some have resembled 'worms' precisely or approximately.
