Then disprove this information and say something to the person who copied/pasted the following messages into this forum:

-------You're behaviour
regarding pluto was nothing short of crazy and continues to be nothing short of
pathological obsessive... In general, your posting on forums, your performance at the Pluto 'debate' and so on have served only to make for yourself a reputation, and that reputation is of a person who is at best an obsessive and at worst psychiatrically diagnosable.Your spam-like repeated facebook befriending or emailing of people does you no favours, and serves only to reinforce the reputation you have made for yourself...I don't want to be your friend, on facebook or anywhere else...Moreover you are not welcome at UMSF either...That you expend so much effort about something so utterly fundamentally pointless is equally terrifying and tragic, and the way you behave towards others is just
terrifying.Leave me alone, leave all of us alone. And if you've got an ounce of sense left in you, please, I beg you, use it to leave Pluto alone.------------

I hope this is not you, D.J. Ellison. Cuz if this is you, this would be a shame for both of you, NASA and TPS.

Those are my words and I stand by them.

If 'This is getting annoying' then why not simply contact me off-forum. My email address is . I would be happy to discuss the background to that email in private.

I have no desire to air dirty laundry in public.

I am disappointed

I don't think I want to comment this even off-forum. I am extremely disappointed. I'm saddened how a space enthusiast could speak like that.

I don't think that somebody who works at NASA or has a project part of TPS should talk like that. Going in space, reaching the stars is a pure dream and I feel embodied by filth I can't take off me easily.

PS: I'm not the Bannedtil2037 member. In fact I'm not a part of UMSF.

It's a pity you don't feel the need to furnish yourself with the facts before casting judgement.

To each their own.

I am disappointed

No facts can justify such behaviour.

I previously posted the following that seems to have been lsot in the aether

I am disappointed. Agreed. Reading back over this thread I find it full of personal attacks on Doug and can only wonder how supposedly intelligent people could so abuse the openness conveyed by this forum. This rubbish has nothing to do with Mars or space exploration and in my opinion should be deleted by the moderator with apologies to both Doug and Stu. If you don’t like UMSF rules then for heaven’s sake just don’t post there. I honestly believe that the level of censorship imposed by Doug is counterproductive but hey, it is his blog, and as mentioned herein, the Baut forum is no better.

For my part let us please preserve the openness of this forum, but without the idiocy inherent in this thread.

oh dear. I posted a comment opposed to the content of this thread. It appeared. But but shortly afterwards was obviously deleted. Now that cannot be an automatic function can it?

Apologies. Probably just a function of the gradual deterioration of the blog scripting.

I am disappointed

I disagree with you, Seprens.

The problem is: I was Googling back in 2004-2005 to find a proper discussion board about space probes. Google is usually my friend, but it listed UMSF, not Mark Carey's forum or any other forum.

I hoped to make friends. Instead, I was a victim of the behaviour of Mr. D-Bag.

Now look at the situation: there are many people who are looking for a good discussion board. They register, then post something off-topic (some of them for example may not know the difference between science and pseudoscience) and get a hateful PM or e-mail by Mr. D-Bag.

And how will they feel if they find out his project is part of the Planetary society and D-Bag works at NASA?

It is sad, I'm an ardent space flight fan, I even worked in the space industry for years, (National Reconnaissance Office then later General Dynamics-San Diego)
Doug Ellison's behavior has driven myself and others away, including some who work directly with missions (no I will not name names).
It is sad knowing the Planetary Society is loosing donations because of him.

Seems there was another freak out over there yesterday by you know who, I wonder how many members got banned. Seems you're now not allowed to talk about the recovery attempts for Opportunity anymore.
