At a certain time in history, the insect marks left inside the bark on a dying tree was thought to be messages of the Gods.

I did not say the sand on Mars is alive, although NEWLY formed ooids of Earth contain living microbes.
By the way, the blueberries on Mars are not concretions, either. They were also formed by cyanobacteria in the past. They were bigger than ooids because they had much more food as a result of a global catastrophe on Mars. Such a global catastrophe was never seen on Earth. That's why there are not many Earthly "blueberries" of such large size.

Ancient ooids can contain hematite, or silica or dolomite, because their original calcium carbonate can be replaced in time with hematite, etc. Ooids composed of a primary phosphatic composition or primary iron oxides exist as well.
"Sometimes original calcium carbonate has been replaced by hematite, silica, or dolomite, but ooids composed of a primary phosphatic composition or primary iron oxides exist as well. More about this can be found here: oolite."

Faceless I admire your devotion to a single subject.
I wish there were others here with your interest in ooids. Personally I just don't have the energy and interest to study your findings.

Time will tell ,,,,History will judge you.

Above all else I admire your persistence.

An interesting concept and from time to time
I cant help but comment/question.

Keep up the good work my Friend.

A repeat topic of Mars rover traverse is the small RSL type slides on the particulate slopes. We muse why the movement occurs, but have no true understanding as yet about what causes these.
Similarly what appears to be ooids is clearly recognizable as life processes possibly, yet without detailed analysis of each particle separately we may not know despite the seeming appearance. I agree these class of particles have a singular or multiple cause which may show life or an analogue to life's actions of causation.
This survey of the local universe gives an impression of a mechanism for the Milky
Way which matches the Earth and Mars in the gravity 'field' processes seen in solid matter within or on the spherical structure of each.
The presence of the similarity is very clear and easy to view. Are all three structures bound by a common singular process causative at associating mass as a singular structure? Probably, and almost surely. Yet the proof is long in arriving through many people and many studies.
We can know that the matching of plate tectonics is a binding current process on Earth now. We can estimate that it is connected with mass on Mars, and throughout our local universe through indirect assumptions of a unified set of causes applied over even great distances. Distance is not a barrier but common appearances can be misunderstood.
Hopefully we are viewing items more likely to be the same in aspects, but perhaps differing in details.

As the appearance of objects occur arounmd us related in appearance to the main ordering, is the ordering related to the occurances or are both circumstances simply related over great time?

Our gravitation on Earth is well odered as I have shown on this topic in images, yet is the final plate tectonics related to our local universe being as well ordered similarly?

Is life a product of our main local universe being a source or effect of the order we refer to as life?

Currently research is indicating that formation of our local material following ordered paths are a time limited occurance as a product of the Milky Way as a structure.

Are the small local slides and RSL related to common process which results in the 'ooids' and which is the time limited source of action? Any of the three item types, or a process sequence of a more ancient source of formative cause?

Reply 277, "Similarly what appears to be ooids is clearly recognizable as life processes possibly, yet without detailed analysis of each particle separately we may not know despite the seeming appearance."
There were detailed analyses of Martian ooids in Martian meteorite ALH84001:

By the way, two geologists on the blueboard recognized a few ooids in a photo taken by Curiosity rover.
