Re reply 378, the discussion and the Science Journal article may be about SAM results on Ogunquit Beach samples:

Organics.....again. Seems NASA is about clicks . More clicks more evidence. Wait, I thought they were looking for evidence on Mars.

An interesting small slide. Was water freeze/thaw part of the cause of possible vibrations from Curiosity activities?

Rover disturbance most likely. Why is the question. "Insight" will give us our first subsurface thermal profile. It will also give us planetary quake data. In the end Mars. Is primarily dust covered ice. Salts and solar radiation is, most likely, creating a phase change below the surface, how deep? This would cause instability, outgasing, and tranceent liquid water events. The tidal impact unknown.

Faceless, The authority on fossils would be Sir Charles. He has written a book dedicated this subject. For other bio signatures, you have this forum.(even Horton heard a who) It is the flagship of biological signs. (Levin rules)

When you post fantasy, you are noise. (tip of the hat to Mizar) I know about noise now, because 50% of my posts at first were noise. I did not know this. It can still happen if I pertake in beverage. I had a few pearls then. A weatherman`s take on the visible data.

It is time now for synthesis. Insight will arrive November 26. More data, better theories (stole from Papa Johns ) Most of the MOC anomalies where at the sothern polar regions of Mars. Hope we get a good look before we cash in the chips.

Darwin,"When you post fantasy, you are noise." How true. Did you see spherical sand grains on Mars? Are they ooids or fantasy? They are described in [link]

Faceless/Lin, I am glad you agree that it is true that when you post fantasy you are posting noise.

It is possible that some of the spherical grains may be ooids but it is not yet proven and will not be proven one way or another until a return mission is complete.

Man-made objects on Mars is a fantasy because we have not yet put a man or a woman on the planet, that should be simple enough to understand.

No one needs to bring Martian ooids to Earth. They are already in Martian meteorite ALH84001: [link]

Shared illusions seem strong to thier "believers." All you can do is "believe" them, you can not make them true.

Conclusiion reflects certainty. Most likely, unlikely are theroletictical terms. There will be no certainty til we have boots on the ground. Your journal links use these terms.

As an aside, those terms were penned by "weathermen." Very Happy

Regarding reply 389, "It is possible that some of the spherical grains may be ooids but it is not yet proven and will not be proven one way or another until a return mission is complete."
Geology alone cannot form the spherical Martian sand grains. They contain nuclei.

Martian "blueberries" are not geological concretions. If they were, why are they spherical in most cases? Why are they 2 mm to 6 mm in diameter in all cases?

Regarding reply 391, "Shared illusions seem strong to thier "believers." All you can do is "believe" them, you can not make them true."
In science, there are numerous speculations, false beliefs and superstitions.

I marked these 21 photos for nuclei in Martian ooids:
