Comet may hit Mars. That could provide an opportunity.

I unintentionally omitted the title of this topic, which was meant to be "Comet may hit Mars." Horton, is it possible to retroactively add the title?

By the way, with the "can't type into text box" problem, I've noticed that if one lets the browser idle long enough on the MRB page, eventually it allows the typing. So the issue is due to something in the software not having completed the loading of the page.

Fixed.

Yes, I also noticed that the text box input problem fixed itself if you wait long enough.

I wonder if HiRise can be used for the comet observations?

The intention is to turn the orbiters toward the Comet however every piece of hardware on or around Mars is at risk should the Coma expand to that sort of distance. It is too early to get a true fix on its trajectory and Comets are like Cats they have tails and do what they want. Should the Coma expand to just a fraction of Comet Holmes then the ice/dust particles could cause damage to the hardware up there.
