There is in Google a url showing a hole in a snow scape on the side of a hill or mountain,,,and ask the question,,What Made this Hole,,,,,and still we wait,,,2007,,,shit,,that's five iffing years ago? whassup You?,,whassup me is whassup You mofo!,,,anyhow,,the holes leading to underground caverns,,,sounds sorta interesting to me,who knows if we could get inside one of these babes,,,,spray the walls with plastic and install an airlock,,,

This is really good news, the three types of compounds found had only 3 possibilities of where they came from, ALL of which are from Martian Organics!

Yes I too would read that paper as the Martian origin of the detected (very low quantities) organics is more likely than any contamination due to the nil blank tests and the very low probability of contamination in the sampling handling devices. As the first sample was "only" wind blown dust mostly the next results will be really interesting! Smile

Also the cross references back to Viking are quite telling regarding certain life detection issues...

I read the paper differently. It pains me to say this, but it seemed that the blank test showed significant contamination in SAM because of a leak of one of the organic solvents intended to be used for protein detection. Unfortunately, this throws into question the implications of the chloromethane detection, which was much much larger than the similar measurement by Viking.
