Question:
Is this created by Curiosity?
And what is this in the middle/right?
Ok I cannot edit posts apparently. I was too hasty. The first image is indeed produce by the curiosity instrument.
But the object on the second image is interesting.
The grid hole pattern is made by the chemcam laser instrument.
It is a way of sampling rock composition without necessity of placing an instrument in direct contact with the rock.
