A flying car that is to sell for all people, at last. Others will follow this first qualified vehicle, and we will find the airways speckled with small four wheeled autos, or PAVs, passing overhead in routine air pathways.
Will new roads open to air traffic, and open wilderness sport short landing strips at getaways soon?
A $10,000 dollar deposit, a price of $195,000, and a short 20 hour training qualification, to try one at your home.
On the roadway, 30MPG.
'Regular' gas.
Parachutes are standard equipment in the package.

It AIN'T for ALL people. These schemes have been around since the 50's. Look at some old Popular Science or Popular Mechanics rags. Too expensive, too many stupid people (see how many doctors and lawyers crash their Cessnas).
Besides, my life insurance has that little clause..........

Oh I can see it now. People who shouldnt drive will be flying. Texting while flying legal? How about tailgating at 125mph? Body shops will be making a bundle as well as the undertaker. Most people can't service their car properly much less an aircraft.
I'm gonna have to agree with John Fred. Most of my neighbors just don't make the grade and come to think of it neither do I
LOL

You guys just do not believe in life. It is a weeding out process. The bad pilots will not fly long.

Hi Fred

Will they have avant garde safety nets up there to protect the people on the ground?

About two months ago there was a midair collision in Boulder Colorado between a powered plane with a parachute and a tow plane hooked to a glider. The parachuted plane did land slower after the collision but everyone except the glider people died. The parachute insured good looking corpses for the funeral

I agree with John in 1 above. Way too many stupid people. Just because they drive a car confirms for themselves, 'I'm a Pilot'. NO WAY they are pilots.

I have been following PAUL MOLLER since 1980 and even wrote to him way back when he was starting up...its been 30 years [I still retain his letter]-trusting his M400 would get off the ground successfully for all US enthusiasts of flying. It did get off the ground with modifications-modifications that are making his M400 look like a regular airplane, complete with wings and 4 engines. A bit more powerful but still looking like an airplane. Hey, I even bought his little toy RED model about 12 years ago-great little novelty to show off but completely different from today's M400 looks.
His Blue-saucer shape flying design of the 60's was much better-and it actually flew.
I personally think he should pursue that design simply because of advanced technologies have well outstripped the 60's work.

I'll continue to watch his developments with respect to his 'SKYCAR'.

Apology for the misstatement, the gas used is 'high-octane', not 'regular'.
This air-car is on my 'wish list' for any wealthy overseers.
I couldn't park this anywhere in this city safely.
This requires 'real' airport parking garage setups.

Perhaps I'll wait for the all solar-electric prop augmented sailplane/car of the future.

Not a compact car/plane as yet, but headed towards a practical device possibly.
