I have talked about it for months, now it will soon be a reality.Ben has straightened me out quite well, thank you,on just what the place we are stuck in is like. Still interesting science
can be done here,I would think.
What will it mean if Mars has a solid or liquid core?

A liquid core would have an effect on the rotation and cause a wobble that in turn would have an effect on the seasons decade to decade, this is how Spirit will detect if a liquid core exists.

Liquid could mean a molten core that would possibly create enough heat to melt water ice beneath the surface and produce volcanic flumes that could support life in these underground lakes/seas as we have seen deep in our own Oceans.

A large molten core would mean tectonic activity and an electromagnetic sphere would be generated, Mars has neither so if there is a liquid core it will not be very big.
