Well, Joe, you're welcome to go wherever you want. I'm sure you'll be considered a non-problem poster over there.

Here is a view for yourself and the members of the UMSF, who are not in communication with myself as my membership name there 'disappeared' along the way, and I was not allowed to renew the registration for some reason. Take care to speak restraint-fully there, as many 'disappear' there for minor personality reasons, even for differing slightly in science content.
Science is not a dominion of the individual, it is a conversation of a society, and should be respected for that.
Your content is well regarded here.
I certainly wish Doug had accepted me there during the past five years.
Mars Rover Blog is a little quiet these days, but we are here working in the background, and read your additions.
Here is a challenge to Doug and the UMSF members, as the waters are wide, but electricity is very fast and well distributed, as should new science content in all blogs and forums.
The exfoliation Spider formations of the northern Mars ice cap lower unit, seen in IR and near IR, as PSP_007962_2635.
With the ice cap erected to a vertical view, this is the right side of the gray-scale image ice cap scarp, or cliff slope.
.

.
Details in the discussion of the 'dust' clouds seen in the 'avalanche' dark streaks, described as dust landslides. This image and related makes it much more in science terms. The dune dark streaks are aspects of an exfoliating alteration process, which is related incidentally to dust movement as the dust is motivated by the actions of a molecular superstructure formation in transience/alteration. The slides are not the action, only the viewable by-product of new science content.
Topic link here on marsroverblog.com.
Checking just now the topic entries, I see new comments I haven't read as yet. New science comes with the new sunlight on January 25, 2010.
Amateurs are a great source for new science, and good conversation on all blogs and forums. Don't spare the quiet periods. I read and image edit 95% of my spare time, and post/converse only 5%.
Welcome Joe. (And UMSF members.)

Dana you are observant and methodological (and a little lengthy)smile please.

Would you mind terribly to turn your DANAFORCE toward Scamander(sp),,and give us your valuable thoughts.
1.This IS a vent hole? (I am asking)
2.The soil there has went thru a dozen changes, what are your thoughts on martian CRUST,,,what is it and how is it possible.??

I can't seem to find much anywhere on this crater,so Yours (yours=long detailed analysis) would be monumental,as all eyes are turned to Spirit Stuck. What it is stuck IN,should bring some interest I am sure.

With someone with your eye,and if NASA will
let us see a few soil close ups, I (we?)
would be terribly interested in your readings.

Respectfully,to you and yours
Joe in Texas
